Adena Corporation fabricates and erects
over 900 tons of structural steel for
Hard Rock Racino at Northfield Park OH
Northfield Park harness track is adding a 225,000-square-foot gaming and entertainment complex that owner Brock Milstein said should open in December. Hard Rock International will manage what’s being called a “rocksino.”
Adena Corporations steel division, North Central Fabrication, along with Thomas Steel fabricated over 900 tons of structural steel, including four 100 foot long box trusses, each weighing 38 tons. Adena steel erection crew also erected 540 tons of steel joists and 225,000 square feet of metal deck. The four box trusses at the Porte Cochere were installed in one day.
In addition to 2,300 video lottery terminals, or slot machines, the $265 million complex will include a concert hall with room for 1,900 seats (2,600 fans standing), a Hard Rock Cafe, a 350-seat comedy club, a buffet, steakhouse and two smaller restaurants.
